One can help the fisherman to pull in the boats and pick the catch of the day for the cook to prepare. Kathaluwa has a surfing spots which can be seen from the villa. 1/4 km is Ahangama which is now getting very popular for surfing, surfing schools/instructions can be hired and small restaurants spring up. The sea infront is ideal for swimming, diving and snorkelling.
