Bula! If your after a traditional Fijian experience you have come to the right place. Seaview House, nestled in the most secluded corner of the Western Division in Fiji, lies the village of Nabukeru, a very small village. With no cars, no motorbikes, and no wifi you can fully switch off from the outside world. Seaview House is located on the beachfront, wake up to the sound of crashing waves or relax on a hammock drinking fresh coconuts! The space Our Ocean Front home with a private bathroom is located amongst palm trees and provides lino / tiled floors, portable fan, fridge and direct access to the Beachfront. Ideal for families, couples, or solo travelers who want to experience a traditional Fijian lifestyle. Enjoy the Fijian lifestyle while relaxing on your own hammock overlooking the turquoise Ocean drinking a coconut. Guest access Meals: Breakfast: $30 FJD per meal, excluded in the nightly rate please pay directly in cash to family who cooks your breakfast. Lunch: 30 FJD per meal, per person Dinner: 30 FJD per meal, per person *All prices are subject to change without notice due to the demand of supplies Typical meals include: Breakfast: Roti, pancakes, or baked cassava, with lemongrass tea or tea and fruits (papaya, banana.) Lunch: Fish cooked in coconut milk, or cooked on charcoal, vegetables (taro leaves, cassava, leaves), crabs (deshelled & cooked in coconut milk) & more fruits. Dinner: Dahl soup, fried or boiled fish, papaya or pumpkin pizza, edible seashells(clam) fruits, and tea. We don't usually have desserts but tea. The families will always guarantee fresh and delicious typical Fijian recipes. Vegan and vegetarian options are always available; kindly inform us before your arrival so we can cater to your preferences. You are welcome to have the meal cooked in the house or you have the option to eat in a Fijian’s family house. Important Information to be noted: - The village relies on solar energy, which limits electricity usage. - WiFi is unavailable, providing you with an entirely off-the-grid experience. - A $50 FJD fee is payable to the Chief upon arrival. - Warm showers are not available. - Kindly remember to wear a sarong if you're a woman in the village although it is not required on the beach. Our Tours: 1. Embark on a 5-minute boat ride to the Sawa-i-Lau Caves, a mesmerizing adventure priced at 70 FJD in total (includes boat ride, cave entrance, and tour guide fee). Directly pay the tour guide in cash. 2. Engage in a 2-hour hiking experience for a fee of 10 FJD per person, with an additional 10 FJD for the guide. Settle this directly with the guide in cash. 3. Weather-dependent fishing tours, are priced at 15 FJD for the boat and 10 FJD for the guide. Pay the guide in cash. 4. Kayak hire available, $25 FJD for 1 hour, contact Joe to hire and pay directly cash 5. Island hopping to local islands nearby, ask upon arrival 6. Uncover the secrets of Fijian cuisine in a 1.5-hour cooking class, either during lunch or dinner. Witness the sourcing of local produce from a nearby farm, as there are no shops on the island. You'll even learn the art of coconut cutting! 7. Night Diving 30FJD, watch fish sleeping, snorkel not included please bring your own. 8. Mud Crab tour can only do during raining season Nov - April. The guide will take you away from the village at night or at 5 am in the morning. This is the best time to catch them. Ask local guides about pricing. 9. Picnic on the beach, open fire. 30 FJD for meal and 30 FJD for boat. *All prices are subject to change without notice due to demand of supplies Activities on the house: 1. Snorkelling off the beach is free, please note we do not provide snorkeling equipment. 2. School and Village Tour free, just donate to the school. 3. Escorted Sunday service at the village church is FREE. Arrival Information: To ensure a seamless arrival, please inform us of your preference at least 24 hours prior to reaching Nabukeru. 1. Best option: The South Sea Cruises takes about 5 hours scenographic journey through all the islands, departing daily at 8.30 am from Denarau Marina (just 10' drive from NADI airport) You can book the Cruise directly at Denarau Marina or on their website (it’s never fully booked)! Please inform the boat that you are going to NABUKERU. Go to the last stop (Blue Lagoon Beach Resort) and our boat driver will pick you up from the last stop (basically you will just change boat). Pay the boat driver directly $120 FJD for the trip from Blue Lagoon Beach Resort to NABUKERU. Price is subject to change depending on fuel costs. Check the website to confirm pricing for South Sea Cruises. *Please make sure you allow enough time arrive at the airport for departing flights. 2) Tavewa Seabus from Lautoka wharf (4,5 hours journey) Not suggested if you suffer of seasickness, pills are recommended. From Nadi airport or anywhere in Nadi, please take a taxi to Lautoka Wharf (about 30 minutes - 40 FJD). Get on Tavewa Seabus ferry which departs at 8 AM daily. You can just SHOW UP AT LAUTOKA WHARF AND GET TICKETS ON-BOARD! There is only one ferry trip per day! Hop off at the last stop and our boat driver will pick you up. Pay boat driver directly $120 FJD for trip. Price is subject to change depending on fuel pricing. Check website to confirm pricing for seabus. The ferry arrives back to Lautoka around 5 PM daily. *Please make sure you allow enough time arrive at the airport for departing flights. Important items to pack: - Bottled water, water out of the tap is not safe to drink. An alternative option is rainwater on island. - Bring reef shoes to protect your feet when swimming. - BYO towel's & soap - If you want internet get a local sim card as no wifi is provided and you can get coverage on the beach. Best sim card is Digicel. - Bring a torch as electricity can cut out Please bring your own beach towels not provided - Please note that there is no shops on the islands or ATM’s therefore please bring enough cash for your duration of stay and BYO alcohol.
